Does anyone advertise in Faire?

David February 05, 2025 at 08:57 PM

Yes. you mean the paid promo feature they rolled out recently?

Jesse Tilner February 05, 2025 at 09:21 PM

Yes, looking to make a push with wholesale

David February 05, 2025 at 10:10 PM

Nice. Its been not great for me, just a few orders and i started it a few months ago - that said, YMMV because my brand is very niche

Faire is an easy way to add wholesale. Retailers love it, we just can’t get past their insane lock in requirements and 15% take. Juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

@Ben Hedlund what do you do instead for Wholesale? We're working through this atm and had a chat with Shopify for the Shopify+ but the big $$ jump is a bit off putting. We don't do a tonne off wholesale atm so it might just get put on the backburner

Shopify B2B ain’t it, but at least they don’t lock you in, prohibiting you from working for the accounts started on the platform. We use NuOrder, and it’s pretty good.

The common mistake made by DTC first brands is thinking that they can scale in the same way they can digitally. Wholesale is built on relationships AND awareness

Ryan Badke March 06, 2025 at 07:22 AM

That’s good to know Ben, I’ll investigate NuO.

Ben Hedlund March 06, 2025 at 07:31 AM

NuOrder isn’t cheap, but it works pretty well. About $1k/mo +/-
