Question: How many people have tried one page checkouts on Shopify?

I talked to Shopify support and they said it was dependent on the theme developer adding one page checkout, but that doesn't feel right to me. Does anyone have experience moving their site over?

I've opted in here's the email they sent me on how:

Hi Organ Mountain,

We’ve redesigned our checkout–it’s faster, smarter and streamlined to one-page. Opt in today for early access!

Head to admin → settings → checkout for Organ Mountain Outfitters, where you'll find a banner highlighting your early access. To see how the one-page checkout will look on your shop, simply click "preview". If you're ready to make the change, click "Update checkout" to switch to the one-page checkout. That’s it!

We will update your store on the 15th if no action is taken. If you prefer to use the classic three-page checkout for a little longer, select “Skip update for now”. Note that if you opt out now, your shop will be auto-updated to the new design later this year. We’ll notify you via email before the update.

Okay thanks! Yea one of my clients is already using it, but I don't think it's changed much.

Another client is insisting on getting it but Shopify told me the theme dev needed to enable it so I'm just a bit lost there lol.

hmm - using a theme also and I didn't have to to any dev work

our account manager also said that we need to enable checkout extensibility and then through there we can create the one page checkout. Would love for it to be auto-activated without having to touch anything on the dev side

Yea the theme support responded and was confused. I talked to shopify support today and they just said it's in the process of rolling out and there's no way to force it.
