Is it possible to add a free gift automatically to people’s orders once they are in the checkout?

We require login and we have a qualifier to unlocked it. We want to avoid giving people the gift multiple times. The only way I can think of to handle this without running into issues is if it could be added during the actual checkout.

(Fulfillment has issues with it adding post purchase with flows)

You could use the cart transform api if it’s a plus store

Thanks. Yea that’s the main issue I’m running into. Since the force login we have on Shopify directly straight to cart it doesn’t have time to add the gift even if someone qualifies

We use Upcart to automate adding a free item when a customer hits a certain qualifier
