Anyone here who sells as 3P on Amazon and ships large volumes of product in ? We are running into some process frustrations with how Amazon is calculating pallets etc

Are you referring to issues of incorrect weight class? LTL freight classification is determined by the entire shipment, not by individual handling units.

When Amazon splits a “send to Amazon” plan into individual shipments and then tries to automatically determine the number of pallets in each shipment, it never calculates this amount correctly.

Correct. We need to send the full with half pallet (s) while following the Amazon pallet weight and dimensions’ guidelines.

I wish it didn’t try to do the calculation that then needs to be overwritten. Have you seen anyway to accomplish that ?

No worries. The freight classification should be accurate.

But it will Make the wrong number of pallet labels for the shipment. Are you saying that’s not important

Muhammad Farooq e Azam September 06, 2025 at 05:18 PM

Pallet Labels are only needed to scan the shipment against a shipping plan in the fulfilment center. The labels are same with the same barcode and count doesn’t matter. They are only needed to be pasted onto the pallets. The sole purpose of the pallet labels is for the identification of the shipment at the time of receipt.
