This one goes out to the email wizards in this group. Have a client that absolutely butchered their domain reputation with pretty much everything you shouldn't do. Interestingly their domain isn't on any blacklists. However when testing my emails I'm getting the following message: "lots of messages from domain were identified as spam in the past". For reference we're using Omnisend since it's the only sending software compatible with her CMS. DMARC, SPF and DKIM have been set up. I also created an entirely new email account on the domain but that didn't solve the problem. Thinking of starting from scratch with a new domain.

@Tobi Chapman

@Laurent Maas I wouldn't necessarily create an entirely new domain. Plus, we need to ensure that sending domains are aligned with the website domain to be compliant.
You're going to have to really tighten your segments of who you're sending to for a period of time to ensure any emails sent get good open + click rates, which will send positive signals to ISPs.
A couple of questions for you:
- Do they have all key exclusion segments setup? (e.g. spam traps, chronic email bouncers, etc.)
- Have you run an inbox placement test with a tool like Glockapps?
