I am about to set up Appstle Subscription. Anything in mind we should think about? We will set up monthly and 2 monthly sub with 20% discount.

Speaking for Laila, we did a pilot of Appstle and wound up not going with them since being able to log in with a passwordless magic link was important to us (as I recall, customers still need to use an email/password to log in via the portal)

Aside from that, it seemed like it had a lot of features and was cost effective - we wound up going with Seal since it had every feature we wanted (although we outgrew it and are now on Loop)

okay, thanks for the feedback. Right now its mostly integrated to the shopify account which is for us fine in the beginning. is it easy to migrate to loop later?

Yes, most of these platforms make it pretty easy for you to import/export the contracts; for Loop, they white glove you and we had very few issues (always recommend spot-checking the contracts that come in during the migration, a few of those slipped through the cracks and were created using the selling plan from the app we were moving away from)

The exception to this was Shopify Subscriptions, the Shopify native app thatโ€™s free but very limited in what youโ€™re able to do - managing that was painful, but if you have VERY simple needs it could also be an option (but wouldnโ€™t recommend beyond that)

will just add that Loop has been awesome and has been paying for itself with recovered failed payments.

@Malte Wagenbach if you do go for Appstle, Iโ€™d recommend asking about what the failed payment recovery looks like for a customer. With Seal it was IMPOSSIBLE for a customer to do it correctly and that just led us to lose subscribers who wanted to pay us but just gave up.

migration to loop later shopuld be possible I guess if we see some traction, but we are a tiny brand.
