If an ad is doing GREAT on FB, and CRAP on IG, would you ever revise the placements to ONLY FB while the ad is still running?

Hows the spend discrepancy? Meta should heavily weigh the stronger ad to the point it doesn’t really matter, but editing will reset learnign.

Natalie Bowman March 11, 2025 at 09:04 PM

it's about 2/3 FB already

Jesse Tilner March 11, 2025 at 09:04 PM

ya, I’d imagine it slides all the way over

Natalie Bowman March 11, 2025 at 09:05 PM

sorry, not sure what you mean lol

Jesse Tilner March 11, 2025 at 09:05 PM

ha, like the spend will go all the way FB

Natalie Bowman March 11, 2025 at 09:06 PM

it actually hasn't, it's been running for almost 40 days, and it consistently is 60-70% FB, so thatss why i was asking if better to just force 100% FB while its still running, reset the learning, then let it rip on FB

Jesse Tilner March 11, 2025 at 09:07 PM

are there any top of funnel stats for IG? like could it be acting as a first touchpoint or something? Do you have data from a 3rd party to back this up. IF that’s the case I say let a rip and copy and past it with only FB

Natalie Bowman March 11, 2025 at 09:10 PM

1.4 frequency, so hitting the MOF seemingly based on the campaign stats as a whole. No other stats right now that I can verify at least.

But you would theoretically take the Post ID and launch as a new ad only on FB? As opposed to just editing the ad already live

Jesse Tilner March 11, 2025 at 09:11 PM

it would give you the cleanest idea of whether the change is impacting or not

Jesse Tilner March 11, 2025 at 09:11 PM

then you can compare side by side

Natalie Bowman March 11, 2025 at 09:11 PM

good point!

Natalie Bowman March 11, 2025 at 10:01 PM

@Jesse Tilner Can you even customize placements at the ad level in an ASC?
