Hi All! Do you have any best practice tips for Google Ads? My client is asking that we include everything from the Meta ads on the Google ads themselves: headline text, body text, large logo, prominent product name, images, and product images. Thanks!
I'm assuming you're speaking about search ads. The copy should contain the keyword you're bidding on. It should also differentiate you from the other people in the auction.
Responsive search ads also give you a lot of copy variations to test, so you should take advantage of that.
And the copy has to be a lot shorter than it does on Meta.
So for all those reasons it's not a good idea to just copy from Meta verbatim, although you can reuse some copy elements.
Always best to tailor your messaging to the marketing channel:
Meta Ads audiences may be at different funnel stages / levels of awareness than your Google Ads audience, social audience, etc.
You may be able to repurpose some elements of copy but for the most part you'll want to be intentional with the channel. Your product images / ad creative however from Meta can usually be largely repurposed.
I just commented this structure on another post in this channel — hopefully this will be of help to you! Lmk if you have any questions:
Thanks so much @Jeremy Sniezko and @Alex Wilsher! This is very helpful. 🙌
