Finally had my first call with a meta rep - their only real suggestion was to shut off my current campaign, launch a new campaign (ASC+), copy over my best performing ads into a single ad set to avoid auction overlap in my current manual campaign.
This would be about 10 ads or so.
We have any thoughts on this approach? Not happy with my current performance.

This is their new standard best practice. It can definitely help in some cases but it won't likely make a huge difference. I would suspect that you have more of a creative issue.

Thanks - and yeah I figured this wouldn't do a ton to move the needle but also wanted to make sure it wouldn't blow up my account

Yeah unlikely, though I would not just turn off ABO assets immediately, I would run both concurrently and accept some overlap until ASC is at least steady.

Cool - how would you divide the budget between the two until thr ASC is steady?

I had the similar suggestion from my Rep like 5 months back. And I do gave a shot it worked - but you should have a creative pipeline sorted.

I would move 20% over a day if results hold.

Hey y'all I tried to create a new separate ASC+ and performs has been super shaky.
If I duplicated (or using postid) on Ads I lost all of my engagement on my instagram ads but kept the engagement on my facebook ads.
1.) Is there any way to avoid this?
2.) Is my older "manual campaign" effectively already an ASC+ campaign if I have Adv+ Audience/Budget/Placements on?
If yes, should I consolidate the ad sets in my older "manual campaign" into a single ad set?
