For brands on Amazon/marketplaces - how is the start of November looking for everyone? Been way down for us YoY/against expectations so far and assuming there's some macro impact from gov't shutdown earlier this month + Amazon messaging "black friday is coming" every time you open the app - curious if others are seeing/feeling this

Looping in @Douglas Giampapa @Erica Schultz @Ian Holme <@U0869C66TB3> @Jared Mortensen @Kevin Lehoe <@U07UXLNTEMA> @Lucy Sherman @Matthew Gratt <@U07H8FW22BW> <@U07KWLQK47J> @Nikki Elliott @Shaff Qureshi @Tom Sagi @Tracey Pickett <@U08F65HUJBB> @Alexander Klein <@U07SPSNDWLT> <@U0891CXKKRV> in case they’re seeing the same on their accounts. How's November looking like for you?

@Fred McKinnon how's it going for the brands you work with?

Jared Mortensen November 18, 2025 at 05:58 PM

We are up 10% on Amazon YoY and 100% on Shopify (launched last year and we are now running ads in meta, strong organic SEO and SMS/email yoy) but flat on TikTok. We did expect to be up higher than what we are seeing. We expect that the shutdown has had an impact but it is difficult to isolate.

@Shin Takeda thanks for the tag, I'd honestly stopped looking here once the #amazon channel got deleted.
Our reporting console is down today (MerchantSpring), so can't give real numbers, but we're definitely up YoY, some accounts up dramatically.
Agency sales are up 70% (been a good year for us!)
A quick glance (MerchantSpring just came back online as I was typing) at some of the top clients by revenue:
1 - up 59% (grocery brand)
2 - up 500% (legit - a huge part of this was inventory logistics issues getting resolved - in Bath)
3 - up 13% (automotive)
4 - up 33% (in personal care, soap, colognes, etc)
5 - up 466% (new account that is growing quick) - motorcycle accessories
6 - up 2% (flat, Shark Tank brand that keeps running out of stock every time Shark Tank runs their re-run)
7 - Up 78% (jewelry brand)
8 - up 309% (candy brand, blowing up since we started in March)

As I go down our client list I don't see any negative YoY until I get to ... sadly .. MY OWN BRANDS!
I'm spending so much time in the agency, and trying to keep up making YouTube content, etc., I am not paying attentino to my own brands. I am running out of stock because I froze up with tariffs and didn't take any action.

thanks all super helpful to hear - we know there are some larger challenges we've been facing as a brand (ops/shipping/fulfillment/review issues lagging throughout the year) but we've also just seen a massive drop off in traffic/eyeballs

our product is high price point (in-pool furniture - AOV's of $1000-2000) and thinking is macro impacts hitting here as well for that category, but it's been a super sharp drop off

Shin Takeda November 20, 2025 at 06:55 PM

Totally get it <@U09FVSVQSV6>. High-ticket stuff’s been getting hit lately, so the drop doesn’t sound crazy. If you need me to loop in any experts to take a closer look, just say the word.
