feel like this group will have opinions on this-- in market for a couple of nonstick pans. I'm generally a stainless steel diehard but kid eats a lot of eggs these days and its just more practical

leaning Caraway but any other brands I should know about-- feel free to shoot your shot if you have a brand in the space or just rec a product you love

Unfortunately none stick pans are full of PFAS so I stick with stainless

Michael Mallazzo January 28, 2025 at 04:43 PM

unless they are blatantly lying, Caraway is PFAS free-- that's a pre-req for me

DM’ing you, launching a product in this exact space next month

My husband did a HUGE deep dive into this at some point, and settled on carbon steel instead of non-stick. I think it’s more of a buy once + maintain here and there (vs. non-stick will always need to be replaced). Maintenance really was upfront and then every 6 months or so?

I recently got sucked in to getting the titanium Our Place pan (non-stick, PFAS free and can’t be scratched with metal utensils) and am happy so far with a few months use.

lol, well this thread made things...... harder?

good microcosm of why all these years later, product search is still a fundamentally unsolved problem 😛

(gonna try @Ben Hirsch’s titanium pans FWIW-- might as well give the new brand who hustles a shot!)

I just use a standalone egg cooker, cost £15 in the UK and does hard, soft and poached eggs. I eat 8 eggs every day and they're always perfect. Can only do Fried with a pan and need to be near a stove

@Michael Mallazzo Caraway is NOT non-toxic. Check out gentle Nursery or a non toxic group on facebook. Your best bet is stainless steel or cast iron. We use CI daily with eggs and its non stick. Good luck!
