I have found that loads of investment capital, a unique product, and even an ACE marketing strategy all fall flat if you don't have excellent people to back it all up.
Talent (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Traits, etc.) is the start and finish line of a successful startup. Making sure the communication and trust between those individuals is effective is what connects those two lines together.
Well said Dane. At the same time many early startups unfortunately don't have the funds or team to build outside of the initial co-founders so attracting the excellent people without capital or equity can be an uphill battle.
